Mind n' Muscle Program Frequently ASKED questions!

QU: I have seen other programs out there! And they include software to track your progress, a food scale , skin fold caliper, a manual with pages of exercise photos and recipes. You manual does not offer any of the above . why should I buy yours

ANS: Ok , first and foremost we are not a nutrition store, we do not need to sweeten our deal with a ‘food scale ‘ and ‘software’. We do not try to sell u a regular manual and dress it up with extra’s. I don’t know about you , but for the majority , it all boils down to ‘Getting Results’. We sell info that accomplishes just that! and at a price that everyone can afford!
Listen why do you need a skin fold caliper for? If you cant see any noticeable change in the mirror(where it matters) by applying the instructions in the manual then Chances are you are wasting your time and money. Results should be immediate and noticeable .You would look pathetic walking over to your peers or the opposite sex and say ‘oh, I lost an inch round the waist or I gained an inch on my arms.’ Results speak for themselves . at mind & muscle we are convinced that our manual instructions produce results ‘You can see’, in very little time.
And while a software package is neat. It is cumbersome and inaccurate. No two humans are made the same , how can a computer calculate how much you should lift? You don’t want some machine and statistics telling you what to do ! Remember statistics tell lies , lies and more lies. As for ‘food scales’ you can get one at your local dollar store, we at Mind n' Muscle do not recommend diets . There is more to life than carrying a fridge behind your back everywhere you go and counting every calorie. DIETS do not work in the long run , they all fail, the human body was not built for that kind of self torture. Mind n' muscle recognizes that everyone needs direction ! and we provide that with email consultations . But you will soon realize (after reading the manual), that stimulating growth is not rock science and any one can do it with the right direction. We like to think of muscle stimulation as a switch , once you turn it on results are immediate and you always have the power to turn it off or on.
With regards to the training photos, Mind n' muscle does include photos , that show you how to perform the necessary exercises. But it is not the be all of building muscle. Magazines are full of photo’s. Why spend $80 on a manual that gives you 80 pages or more of photo’s, so you have a 150 page manual , 80 pages contain photo’s , the rest of the pages are filled with recipes and stuff you already know. Such manuals sell you years of ‘HOPE’ and ‘PROCASCINATION’ nothing else. I am sure you are familiar with the ‘ OH1 NOW I HAVE THE MANUAL AND THE RECIPES , IT IS ALL A MATTER OF STARTING THE PROGRAM..WAIT YOU WILL SEE…’ Nothing ever happens because there is no motivation to actually embark on a recipe , photo laden book. Mind n' muscle shows you how to generate both emotional and physical intensity for your workouts, you will never feel burned out!
Having said that , out training manual is not conventional , we don’t give you any funny exercises to perform or any magic recipe to gain weight. We give you the knowledge you need to stimulate growth each and every workout. Plateaus simply do not exist! The workouts are intense and as such it is not for the faint hearted. Only those with the commitment to change need read this manual. At the price we have it at , you cannot afford to let this opportunity go by , at the price of a decent meal could change your life forever.

QU: I am a relatively thin person and I would like to gain muscle fast .is your manual to advanced for me?

Absolutely not! The program is really simple , it includes a beginners phase to get you going. Intensity recommended is relative, you can let two people perform the same exercise with the same weight , but the intensity generated would be different between the two. A beginner cannot generate the same intensity as a professional or an experienced athlete. But fact is, muscles respond to intensity no matter your experience level. Intensity is the fuel of muscle growth, without it your body has no reason to change.

QU: IF Intensity is the end all of muscle growth ! how come those guys that lift tons of weight at my gym day in day out , don’t seem to change year after year.

ANS: The reality is they are not training hard and furthermore they are Over trained! You can train hard or long but not both! Hard produces results not long. People like that don’t grow because they are not training hard enough. They train long and long hours at the gym always leads to over training. Heavy weights does not guarantee results, it is how you use those weights. Anyone can throw weights around and grunt and yell but really that does not spell intensity. that spells ignorance. These people gain their size due to the hit and miss approach . Occasionally they hit the right intensity level , 90% of the time they don’t! can you imagine that if they train daily "just 30 days out of the year" are productive, that is like one day every two weeks! What a waste of money and time!
Let me tell you , when you apply the right intensity you grow each and every workout, no if’s and but’s, just plain results. My question to you is ‘would you rather be like those guys that hit or miss or would you rather be one that knows exactly how to train.’ No hit and miss just certainty’. Also remember that you are not on steroids(hopefully )so you cant afford the hit and miss approach.


Training hard is an art form. 90% of people out there do not know how to train hard and even some pro’s are guilty of that! For the natural bodybuilder you must learn how to train hard each and every workout, simply because you have very limited recovery ability and therefore each workout must be productive. Because we show you how to train , in the advance stages you will be training as in often as once every three weeks and yet your gains will blow the lid of the can .learn to train smart not long and stupid. Time is priceless and precious, use your wisely.

QU: Can I use one of those multi-home gyms?

ANS: Absolutely. Some things in life will not change. Gravity ,death and fundamental basic exercises are some. To build muscle fast you must perform basic exercises. These exercises hit the core muscles. All basic exercises are universal in their application. Free weights and machines affect the same general muscles. What makes those exercises work is the amount of intensity applied. Lets put it this way , you can curl a grocery bag(full of groceries) and use that to build sufficient mass in the arms. home gyms are fine. The only major setback is this; if you follow the manual as directed your strength gains will exceed your greatest expectation . 200LBS is the normal limit on a home gym, you might need more weight than that after a few weeks on the program(depends on how weak you are to begin with). So you can start with a home gym but be prepared to spend more money upgrading the equipment. Essential point here is that ; The home gym must allow you to do all fundamental exercises such as the squat , bench press, lat pull downs.
Listen you do not need professional equipment to build mass, we have personally trained African athletes (all natural) with our routines, nutrition was poor(one or two meals a day), equipment was meager(they used car shafts as barbells) results were still breath taking. Shows you what the right mental attitude and the right training will do.

QU: I am a professional(doctor). I am a bit out of shape and it seems that I don’t have the time to spend hours at the gym. I need to shape up, for there is nothing more pathetic than a sluggish fat doctor given patients advice about ‘cholesterol ‘ and how to lose weight. Can you system help me.?

QU: Nature must have had the busy individual in mind when it designed the muscular system. The body needs an abnormal shock to its muscular system to grow but that shock has to be sporadic and calculated. This essentially means that all you need is ’30 minutes of your time’ once a week to enjoy maximum growth. In fact in the latter stages you will be doing one workout every three weeks. So ‘you’ the busy individual can now dedicate 30 minutes at the gym once a week and be assured of the results.

QU: Can I get lean on your program! The experts say that I need to diet to get ripped abs!

ANS: The ‘experts’ are partially right. But it really depends on your current level of body fat and your genetics. If you want decent abs you want to gain muscle and loose fat, dieting will work but like I always say , the results will be temporary(great for a competition). The fact is , if you gain muscle and maintained the same amount of body fat you would become leaner and for most that is sufficient to bring out their abs. This applies to people who are not overweight. If you are overweight you would need to go on a ‘diet’ but this diet would simply be the elimination of all fatty foods and junk foods. The trick here is that you want to build lots of muscle and do aerobics to burn the fat left. No ‘fad’ diets are needed. There is a delicate balance between diets and exercise, both produce the desired result. For most the desired path would be more exercise rather than dieting. More muscle translates to a higher metabolic system. Furthermore gaining muscle makes you leaner simply because muscle is dense, a 20lb gain of muscle is not the same as a 20lb gain in fat. People mistakenly equate the two. A 20lb gain in muscle will not be as noticeable as a 20lb gain in fat


QU: In your manual you recommend that we consume lots of calories but my question is doesn’t all those excess calories turn into fat?


ANS: Yes literally excess calories turn into fat. But if you stimulate enough muscle growth that will not necessarily happen. We recommend that you eat ‘mums cooking’ because life is abundant in that we should learn to enjoy the fruits it offers. If you want to have a pizza have it but in moderation. We show you how to stimulate 3-5 lbs of muscle a week , that demands a lot of rest and calories to manifest itself, very little will turn to fat .besides gaining some fat(minimal)is part of the muscle gaining process. The question I ask you , is how many of you know how to stimulate 3-5 lbs of muscle a week? Not many do ! it takes a certain level of ‘simple insanity ‘ to stimulate such growth and once you do stimulate growth , you will not worry about fat storage it simply will not happen. By that I mean that the ratio of muscle to fat will increase considerably and so you will get leaner and harder yet bigger.


The Truth

There are no magic bullets with regards to exercises. In fact once you realize this fact , you will quicky find out that ‘magazines are essentially a waste of your money’ , magazines just repeat themselves over and over and over , the only thing beneficial in a magazine is the occasional nutritional breakthrough and the motivation you derive by viewing well built individuals. No magic or new exercises will make you gain mass fast! Not any faster than basic exercises such as the squat or bench press. This is because it is intensity applied to the exercise and not the exercise itself that stimulates the muscles you desire. Remember that performing an exercise is a means to an end. You can get just as much stimulation by carrying a weighted grocery bag till failure.
The ‘Magic bullet ‘ of building mass is training infrequent and intensely. Two simple things to learn and yet their simplicity is complicated by most magazines. Magazines don’t show you how to train hard , in fact they give you no indication of how hard is hard. Eg a recent article in a famous magazine indicates that you should do a triple drop set on the bench press for 10-15 reps, note that this is a invalid description because it fails to state how hard is hard. Question that pop into our heads are ‘Should I train to failure for all those three subsets or should I just leave the failure training to the last sub set? Should I train beyond failure or to failure . How hard is too hard! A beginner doing 3 forced reps after each subset is asking for trouble really fast because he will over train and will make no progress in a short while. Mind and muscle takes this dilemma away as well as providing an accurate way to provid ethe body with all the rest and nutrituional recommendations needed to build muscle fast.

 

QU: Do I need to buy expensive supplements to achieve the promised results indicated in your manual?

ANS: No you don’t! The manual was designed to generate results yet at the same time it was designed to be convenient and cheap, so that everyone could use it. You need to eat a well balanced diet to see results. Well balanced does not mean ‘grilled chicken and baked potato’s’ everyday. It means eating mums cooking making sure you get a balance of protein(meats or fish), carbohydrates(potato, rice ) , fats and greens(fiber and minerals). A supplement such as a whey protein powder is just that ‘a supplement’. It allows you to ingest the needed protein without the inconvenience of eating tons of meat. It is by no means an essential part of the program.
We believe that for any change to be permanent , it has to be convenient and likeable. You have to enjoy working out and eating nutritiously for results you attain to be permanent. long hours at the gym are not enjoyable and DIETS are not pleasurable to follow. DIET MINUS THE T spells DIE , which is what eventually occurs. Diets actually and slowly kill you. Supplements are there for convenience-should you lack the time to cook.


QU: HOW fast can I expect results from your manual?

ANS: If you follow the techniques as indicated. Results in strength should be immediate .actual muscle gains really depends on genetics , rest factor and intensity but for the average results should be evident thru second or third week after following the actual recommended routines. QU: Your website seems to be geared towards building muscle! How about those of us who want to loose a little weight and fat?


ANS: Well good news for you. More muscle spells more fat loss, simply because your metabolism goes up , even at rest you will be burning calories, no amount of aerobics can offer that luxury to you. More muscle tightens up your body and skin. You get better posture , healthy skin complexion and more sexual appeal. Furthermore if you maintained the same level of body fat and built muscle, you would actually appear leaner, as the ratio of fat to muscle decreases. So build muscle and loose fat without going on a diet.. If it is big muscles you are scared off , do not be, for you have all the control in deciding how much you need or want. QU: You talk too much about muscle, yet muscle building is not what life is about! In short MUSCLE IS NOT EVERYTHING!

ANS: Yes Muscle is not everything ! but having muscles will get you further in life socially and on a buisness level, than not having it. It will certainly make you live longer and in that aspect it is life. It will allow you to be the center of attraction. And the single most important reason to have muscle: SEX.AND SEXUAL APPEAL. HAVING THE opposite sex glance at you in admiration is the greatest drug you can ever have. Read the ‘benefits’ section for more benefits.


QU: I have seen several manuals out there, what makes your s different?

ANS: Well first while the rest give you a bunch of ‘copied routines’ and ‘diets’ and say ‘now you go get it.’ We show you how to gear up mentally and how to turn any routine into a winner guaranteed. Training hard is not easy, it takes a certain level of mental concentration to get to the growth zone. Less than 5% of trainers know how to get there purposely. The other 5% get there instinctively or by mistake. There are a few tricks that guarantee that you stimulate 3-5 lbs of muscle each and every workout. We show you how to achieve that. No guesswork just certainty. Here is a helpful fact , fundamental exercises will never change! They are tools and not everyone knows how to use these specific tools! If all it took to build a great chest was a well done set of bench presses, all of us would have barrels for chests. This is not the case ! We show you how and when to use those tools necessary to build huge muscles and lose fat.

QU: With my budget I can afford only a few supplements .which do you recommend?

ANS: We do not recommend any particular brand.. we RECOMMEND A good whey protein, but don’t let ads or price fool you . The whey protein is manufactured in bulk only by a few select companies , and the supplement companies buy them and put their name on it. If the price is high chances are you are just paying for the advertisement placed for that product. I know personally of a well know brand in Canada that basically puts ingredients together and throws the label on it. This essentially means that my the small guys brand is the same protein used for well know brand. His is just 40% cheaper simply because they do not advertise as heavily as the well known brands. And please remember that there are no wonder supplements out there just tons of false advertisements. If supplements were half as good as they claim they are , steroids would be extinct! And they are not ..so don’t be fooled!
In all honesty, if you eat right you don’t need supplements. For the average trainer supplements do nothing but turn into fat, they see themselves a bit larger and a tad bit stronger and they erroneously believe that they are building muscle. The supplement is useless because there is no sufficient muscle stimulation , and the nutrients have no where to go but be deposited as fat. A little fat in the muscle is good because it gives your muscles leverage and you are a bit stronger. So your primary concern should be stimulating muscle before supplementation. A simple analogy will do it, why put formula one fuel in a sedan? It simply will not work efficiently and it will not attain the speed it was manufactured to induce.

QU: I cant seem to find the time to invest at the gym. how does your system get around this!

ANS: Time is priceless and fact is very little time is needed to stimulate growth. You don’t need a lot of time at the gym to build muscle. Spending more than that which is required actually burns up existing muscle cells. This makes you flabby and flat you can train hard or long but not both remember this for it is a golden rule. If your workouts exceed 30 minutes in duration(excluding rest periods) you are not training hard enough. simply you are wasting your time.


QU: There are many systems out there promising the same thing. most are garbage . why should I buy yours

ANS: First and most importantly, this is our business. That is all we do ! we have to make sure our system works or we would be out of business. Our manual is based on well founded mental and physical exercises. There are no fancy exercises or routines. Just basic science applied to bodybuilding.
